Name: Icarus
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Description:
Icarus is a Harmonixer. See below for explanation:
The Harmonixer is a master of fusion.
The Harmonixer, after defeating a demon and bringing it into submission, can fuse with its soul and acquire its powers. This ability is passed on by blood.
The Harmonixer does pay a price for this power. Escape in pleasant dreams is impossible; the Harmonixer's subconsciousness is a graveyard, where guilt, doubt, and carnal emotions take up permanent residence in tangible forms. The souls of defeated demons and monsters remain here, and their hatred and malice for their killer drags the Harmonixer's soul down into self-destruction and darkness.
Four masks guard the graveyard, each representing an aspect of the Harmonixer's inner self: Greed, Fury, Envy and Lust.
She has dark brown hair, which comes to about the bottom of her ribcage, silver eyes and a slight build. She weighs in at about 89lbs and is around five foot eight high.
Personality: Icarus is cold and merciless towards those she hates and those who are considered her enemies. She has a tough outer shell to protect her from those who may harm her, but get past that, and you have a friend for life. She was once hurt in love, and so tries not to fall into that again.
History:
Icarus was just four when her father left for the army. He left every winter, to fight for the homeland. Icarus and her mother were left alone.
When young, Icarus loved planting seeds and tending to the baby plants. She helped her father, a man named Nicolai, in the spring to plant the crop. Icarus' mother was a woman named Freyja.
It all seemed like the fairy tales her mother told when Icarus was young. However, this was not to last...
A group of enemy soldiers came to ransack the house, when her father had gone to fight. Freyja was powerless to stop them, and so, apparently, was the ten year old Icarus. The young girl ran back to the house when she was tending to her young wheat ears.
It was too late.
Freyja was dead. Icarus saw the soldiers, and, for the first time in her life, transformed into a terrible winged demon, named Kaelos. The creature looked fearsome, and, uncontrollable even by Icarus inside it, it devoured four of the six soldiers.
When Icarus was remade back into herself, she was drained and horrified by what she had done. She was now officially wanted by the enemy.
Four years later, Icarus came across a druid, by the name of Arichtosu. He was a wise man, and knew much. He also revealed that he knew Icarus' father.
*"So...who are you?" Icarus asked suspiciously. The man laughed and laughed.
"My name is Arichtosu. I'm a druid, and a good friend of your fathers."*
Arichtosu had found and healed Nicolai, after finding him on the side of a path, dripping with blood.
He took Icarus in, meaning she had shelter and a bed, although she had begun to suffer terrible nightmares and insomnia. She could not forget that day when her mother died, and she had become a monster. She soon confided in the now well-trusted Arichtosu.
*"Arichtosu...sir. I have...I have something I have to say..." Icarus began with a stammer. Arichtosu turned from the fish he was frying.
"Well spit it out child, we haven't got all day."
Icarus rolled her hands together nervously.
"I'm a...monster...sir..."*
Arichtosu was astonished, and prayed that Icarus told him more. She did, and to her great surprise, he grinned.
*"Daddys little girl are you not! Nicolai was just the same. He embraced his power, although he knew..."*
Arichtosu refused to tell Icarus of her fathers fate. The truth was this:
About two years ago, a warlock, by the name of Ragnec came to power. He was a terrible man, excelling in the dark arts of pain and Black Sorcery. He was a huge threat to the world, as he planned to summon demons from another dimension, and to obliterate the world. Nobody knew what to do...
And then...
I, Adept of Water, Arichtosu, found a man, lying bloodied on the road. He had an exceptional presence about him, and I could not think of what it was. I healed him, and in time, we became close friends. He told me he was a Harmonixer, one who could use the forbidden art of fusion.
He also told me that his wife and child had been attacked by the opposition of our country, and he had been on his way to the capital. His daughter had been reported missing and his wife pronounced dead. He blamed Ragnec, as I told him of the warlocks plans for the future.
The man was determined and stubborn, and asked me to come with him to defeat the warlock. I laughed-it was impossible to think that two simple men, with limited power could acheive such.
However, we attempted it- and succeeded. Nicolai...he sacrificed himself to kill Ragnec...
Ragnec had a nephew. That nephew is now following in his uncles footsteps... And we have no hope...
Wait a minute...
The girl...
Icarus is planning on leaving Arichtosu, as she looks to what will happen in her future.
Other: Icarus' father was a Harmonixer too, and it is he who she inherited her powers from.
